Media Release Opt-In Form - 2024-2025 School Year - Jeter-Watson Elementary School

This is an Opt-In Form. Parents/Guardians who wish to opt-out do not need to submit this form.


Dear Parents/Guardians:

Promoting the activities and accomplishments of AHPS students during the course of a school year provides our community with an opportunity to see and hear about the great things going on in our school division.  Examples are but not limited to the following :

  • Pre-arranged media visits to schools and classrooms;
  • School and school division websites and approved AHPS social media platforms;
  • 'Good news' releases to local media outlets;
  • Printed materials;
  • Videos on division websites/social media platforms;
  • Video, photos and applicable information about students who participate in any extracurricular activity, including sports and performances;
  • School yearbooks or the in-school use of the student's photo as part of class events and lessons.

To ensure student privacy, AHPS follows the guidelines of the Federal Educational Rights & Privacy Act (FERPA) whenever there is a public release of student information and/or images.  Please submit this form if you wish to grant AHPS permission to use your child’s information and/or images for public release or publications.

This opt-in authorization is valid until June 30th, 2025. After July 1st, 2025, a new form will need to be submitted for the following school year.
