ʻŌhiʻa Love Fest: Tree Planting and Habitat Restoration with Kokeʻe Resource Conservation Program
Thursday, November 17, 2022. Meet at 9:30 a.m. at Kalalau Lookout overflow parking area along the road. The outplanting site will be off of the Kaluapuhi Trail located in Kokee State Park, near Kalalau Lookout. The walk to access Kaluapuhi trailhead and the planting site is approximately 0.25-0.5 miles on an easy trail with a diversity of native and non-native species. The project will also have an optional invasive weed control segment in or near the planting area, after the planting portion of the project. The project will be in a native dominant montane mesic ʻōhiʻa forest.

Please bring closed-toed shoes, hat, sunscreen, rain jacket, water, and snack. Recommend wearing long pants.
