ICS Odyssey of the Mind 2016-2017 Application
OM is an after-school extra-curricular program at ICS that get kids into spontaneous and long-term problem-solving with a combination of tactile as well as intellectual solutions. It encourages critical and creative problem solving and teamwork. For more information see: www.odysseyofthemind.com..

Applications must be received by Wednesday, October 5. Practice will start shortly thereafter. Not every applicant will be guaranteed a spot. Dues, which are paid after teams are assigned, are $30 per student which will help pay for some costs incurred during the year as well as an 2017 ICS OM t-shirt for each participant. Financial aid can be available.

FOR PARENTS: I will support the program by:
(JUDGES: MUST be available for training probably on Saturday, January 28, 8:30am-3:30pm to be at Pennsbury School District and Saturday, February 25 and Saturday, March 4 for the competition or snow date. If team advances to state competition, must be available April 1. COACHES: Must be available for practice on a weekly basis on a regular day (usually 3:30-5:00 or 5:30) as well as weekend dates January-March (possible April or May if the team goes on to the next levels.). You must also be available the last Saturday of February and the first Saturday of March for regional competition. If the team advances to state finals or World Finals, the dates are April 1 (Moon Area High School) and May 24-27 (Michigan State University) respectively. For first time coaches, training dates are in mid-November (usually on a Saturday 8:30-1:00 at a regional school. TRAINING AND REGIONAL COMPETITION DATES ARE TENTATIVE AS THERE IS NO OFFICIAL WORD YET FROM THE REGIONAL DIRECTOR.)
