This summer learn online AND for a few hours a week at school about two fun yet important topics: robots and animals. (This is a past theme from First LEGO League.) We will learn, as we begin to think like programmers and researchers. During summer school, 30 students will check out & be responsible for a LEGO® EV3 Robot. They will program and test their robot using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology to solve a set of mission challenges each week then submit short videos showing they accomplished those missions before their next assignment will be given. Each day we will check in online and Mrs. Bronn/Mrs. Houston will be available to help with problems as they arise. One morning a week, see dates below, students will come to the Buchanan Campus for some 'Animal Allies' robot challenge fun. We will have 2 of those afternoons available for ‘open lab’ additional face to face help if needed. Students will bring their robots to class each week and be ready to put what they learned to the test for Challenge Morning Missions. The last day of summer school, parents are invited to an Open House to see mission challenges and what we have been learning in the area of animal/human connections. Come join the fun in and out of the classroom!
