MeetingofMinds Survey
In order to complete the coursework of Social Network module COMP6217, this survey has been developed to gather information from University of Southampton members (postgraduate students and academics), to know whether they are using Academic Social Site or not, what is their experience in the process of searching for a supervisor, and what are the key features users want to see in MeetingofMinds application.

Why have you been asked to participate?
Because you are a member in Southampton University as (a postgraduate student or an academic) and you would be interested to share in this project that aims to develop application support prospective postgraduate students to find supervisors who fit to their profile, including expertise and mentoring styles. Also, this project is part of coursework, and the research findings will help us with this coursework.
What will happen to you if you take part?
You will be asked to answer the survey’s questions, it should take approximately 15 minutes to complete. And, your responses are completely anonymous.
Are there any benefits in your taking part?
Your participation in this survey is highly appreciated and it would give us a good perception about what functions and features you may like to see in MeetingofMinds application.
Are there any risks involved?
It is an online survey, and there is no risk involved in this study.
Will your participation be confidential?
Yes, Confidentiality will be maintain as far as possible.  
Only one member of the team will have access to the raw data returned.  Anonymised data will be available to the collaborators on this project. Summary anonymised data will be seen by the project mentors and tutors, and posted on a public blogsite after being analysed.
What should you do if you want to take part?
Users will be contacted by email with information that will inform them about the nature and scope of the research, so they can give their informed consent.
They will have 48 hours to absorb and think about this information, and decide whether to given their consent.
A link to the online survey will be included with this email, participants can click into this to begin the survey.
The survey will take no more than 15 minutes to complete.

What happens if you change your mind?
In case users begin fill the survey and before they submit it, they can change their mind and clear all the data entered which it will be destroyed. However, if the survey has been submitted, the user cannot ask to withdraw the data because it will be stored directly in the sheet, but, they can send an email ask to ignore their answers and not use it in the analysis process.
What will happen to the results of the research?
The summary of the results will be seen by the project mentors and tutors, and posted on a public blogsite after being analysed.
