Flyers, Facebook posts, emails, event calendars… sound familiar? If you’re leading the charge (or part of the team) behind your agency’s marketing efforts, we want to hear from you.
We’re looking for dynamic, real-world presenters to lead sessions at our upcoming marketing workshop for parks and recreation professionals. This is your opportunity to share what’s actually working—campaigns that drove registrations, boosted engagement, or helped your agency stand out in a crowded space. We’re especially interested in honest, practical stories: what grabbed attention, what didn’t land, and what you learned along the way.
Sessions should be high-energy, idea-packed, and rooted in real experience. Topics may include (but aren’t limited to):
- Promoting summer camps, programs, and special events
- Social media strategies that engage your community
- Branding and storytelling for local impact
- Working smarter with limited time and staff
- Creative content development (even on a tight budget)
- Tools, platforms, or processes that improved your workflow
- Lessons or inspiration from outside the parks and recreation field
We are accepting session proposals for this workshop. Proposals should be submitted by September 1. Information provided will be used as written for workshop promotional materials. Please review the session questions here.
Session Requests:
1-hour Session
We are looking for knowledgeable and passionate professionals to lead a 1-hour classroom or hands on session. If you have valuable insights or innovative solutions to share, we’d love to have you speak and help others enhance their day-to-day operations! Speakers who provide activities and/or resources will be prioritized. There is a limit of three (3) speakers for a 1 hour session.
30-minute hands on learning session:
This is a great opportunity to demonstrate practical marketing skills, tools, and techniques for parks and recreation—whether it’s building effective campaigns, creating engaging content, leveraging social media, using data and analytics to drive decisions, or implementing innovative strategies to boost participation and community engagement.
If you enjoy teaching by doing and have something valuable to share, we’d love to have you lead an interactive session that helps others improve their on-the-job skills! There is a limit of three (3) speakers for a learning session.
