Saving Silvertown Baptist Church

You’re here because you have heard that Silvertown Baptist Church, unless extraordinary resources and opportunities are found, will continue services through January and then settle remaining financial obligations and transfer the property and unused funds to the Centennial Baptist Association.

You’re here to be part of the extraordinary way God makes for the church to live on in our campus after a season of renewal.

We’re not interested in a final cash-grab. We’re not looking to simply throw money at a problem. We’re seeking pledges of support, and we’ll only ask for those pledges to be met if we have enough money (or pro-bono work) pledged to carry through with the renewal.

Here’s the pessimistic accounting of what we’re trying to overcome:

  • $150,000 before August to address high-priority repairs and restorations which will allow us to shop for more affordable church insurance and stop further deterioration of the buildings.
  • $50,000 across 2026 (and repeated annually, hopefully by the church after no later than 2028) to fund staff for church maintenance and administration.
  • $26,000 (minimum) across 2026 to fund pulpit supply and transitional/interim/revitalization pastor.
  • $36,000 (minimum) across 2026 to ensure ongoing facilities operating costs are covered.
That’s $262,000 in 2026. We’ll probably need another $150,000 or more from outside the church in 2027 and 2028 to keep making repairs, updates, and upgrades.

It’s a big ask. We know. Yet, we also know we have a big God.
Please, fill out the information below if you are willing to make a pledge of support.
