For a second year, Ramapo College of New Jersey has been chosen as the Climate Change Learning Collaborative (CCLC) for the northern region of the state. The northern region comprises Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Morris, Passaic, Sussex, and Warren counties.
The Climate Change Learning Collaboratives (CCLCs) are required to collaborate with local school districts that have been awarded climate change education funding. Additionally, Ramapo College of New Jersey will once again, be offering a professional development program to support school districts regarding climate change including technical assistance workshops in June. This initiative demonstrates the CCLC's commitment to delivering excellence in education while ensuring that teachers are equipped with the necessary skills to engage students in climate change education. It is central to this work that students be inspired to make a change in their local communities regarding climate change.
