NAS Application
The Urban League of Broward County is pleased to announce the Atlantic Coast Center of Excellence is accepting applications for Induction into the National Achievers Society. The Induction Service is scheduled for Saturday, January 8, 2022 on Zoom.  The application deadline is Monday, January 3, 2022.

The National Achievers Society is a prestigious National Honor Society, which recognizes students for their academic and cultural achievements. Induction into the National Achievers Society brings nationwide attention to students who demonstrate excellence and provides opportunities for students to receive scholarships.

Membership in the National Achievers Society (formerly known as the Thurgood Marshall Achievers Society/McKnight Achievers) provides enrichment activities for students. The organization also provides opportunities for parents and other interested adults to stay involved in the student’s education. The National Achievers Society helps to equip students to identify and meet the challenges of the 21st century. Achievers and their parents have opportunities to participate in community service projects, literacy activities, field trips, academic competitions and a Leadership Conference / Brain Bowl Competition held via Zoom in February 2022 and March 2022.

The Atlantic Coast Center of Excellence has inducted over 3,540 students into the National Achievers Society over the past fifteen years. Students are recommended for Induction by their school principals, teachers, churches and community leaders. The society emphasizes values, such as giving back to the community, the importance of studying and academic persistence and it encourages parents to become more engaged in their children’s education. For the last fifteen years, hundreds of graduating Achievers have been awarded academic scholarships to colleges and universities throughout the United States.

Applications and induction fees can be mailed to the Urban League office, 560 NW 27th Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33311. To answer any questions you might have, please feel free to contact our NAS Team at nas@ulbcfl.org Thank you in advance for your interest in the National Achievers Society.
