The Ithaca Festival Spring Craft Show is one component of the larger Ithaca Festival, one of the largest annual events in Ithaca (NY), attracting an audience of over 30,000 people. One of America's best homegrown arts festivals, the event takes place Friday through Sunday in the downtown area of Ithaca. The parade will take place on Thursday evening and the craft show and full festival will take place Friday - Sunday. Please visit the Ithaca Festival website (
) to read more about the music, food, and art that makes Ithaca Festival unique.
We invite you to apply to exhibit and sell your work, and hope that you are able to participate in the show. We, as the Downtown Ithaca Alliance and managers of the Craft Show will be working closely with the Ithaca Festival organizers to promote the show in the official Ithaca Festival Program Guide, on the website, and in advertising for the event. We have heard your feedback from years past and will be providing runners to relieve vendors who need to step away from their booths to eat or take a break.

GENERAL LOAD IN/OUT: Set-up time is from 7AM - 10AM each day. The Craft Show will take place on a paved city street. Tent weights are required and stakes may not be used (we suggest cinder blocks or 5 gallon water jugs). All craft vendors must provide their own 10x10 tent (or a 10x20 or 2 10x10 tents if you are in a double space). There is no electricity in the Craft area. No awnings are allowed on tents because they may interfere with the fire lane.
Vehicles must be removed immediately after unloading; vehicles are not permitted on the Craft Show blocks after 9AM each day. If you plan on arriving after 9AM, vehicles will not be permitted and you will need to use a hand truck to move your items into the Craft Show. After you unload your vehicle, please remove your car from the Craft Show area, park, and then come back to set up your booth. Vehicles must be removed promptly after unloading or it will create a traffic jam. Ithaca Festival staff will be on site to assist with traffic flow. Your booth space number will be written on tape on the curb at your space; please stay within your designated space and observe all fire lane markings.
Detailed load in/out instructions will be sent out after confirmation and location assignments are sent out. Please note that applications do not guarantee a space, you must receive confirmation.
PARKING: Vendors can park in the Cayuga Street Parking Garage (across from the Hotel Ithaca), in the Green Street Garage, or in the Seneca St. Garage. Metered street parking is also available. On Friday, parking garages will be at an hourly rate, with a maximum of $10. On Saturday and Sunday, event parking in each garage is $5 for the entire day. If you cannot fit in a parking garage (7-foot clearance, no trailers), you must call or email ahead of time so that we can suggest alternate parking sites. On-Street Parking is $1.50/hour on Friday and free on Saturday and Sunday (payable at the pay machines).
***If you require special arrangements for parking, there will be an opportunity to say that in this application. Please note that this requires advanced notice and there are fees associated with this arrangement.***
GENERAL INFO: Your booth must be kept neat and clean. Your table should be covered to the ground and boxes must be hidden from view. You are responsible for packing out your own trash and recycling. Access to brick-and-mortar stores must be maintained at all times. No alcoholic beverages are permitted in downtown Ithaca. Porta-Johns are available at the N Cayuga - Seneca St intersection and the N Cayuga - Buffalo St intersection. For an indoor restroom, please go to Center Ithaca (171 E State St on the Commons).
Craft Relief staff will visit booths periodically throughout each day to offer you the opportunity to take a break to get food or visit the restroom.
Overnight security is provided on the Friday and Saturday nights of the Ithaca Festival. However, we advise removing any valuable items from your site. You may leave your tent and belongings in place on Friday and Saturday nights.
CRAFT SHOW REQUIREMENTS: Work submitted and sold must be the original work of the entrant. Commercial and manufactured items will not be allowed, and the Downtown Ithaca Alliance reserves the right to have you remove unacceptable merchandise from the display area. Each craft vendor will handle their own sales. Collecting and reporting of sales tax is each craft vendor's responsibility. A copy of your tax certificate is required by the City of Ithaca to be displayed in your booth while the Ithaca Festival is open to the public.
CANCELLATION / REFUND POLICY: If you apply and are accepted, you have until April 24th to notify
by email of your cancellation to receive a refund of your booth fee. If you cancel after April 24th, you will not receive a refund of your booth fee.
