Want to hear about the latest events in the world of Scala? Interested in discovering how your peers are approaching software challenges? Then join us at Scala eXchange 2019, Europe's largest dedicated annual Scala conference. The world's leading experts will be arriving in London to provide insights and share skills with Europe's growing Scala community.

Scala eXchange returns to London in December 2019. Hosted at the Business Design Centre, we look forward to two intensive days of learning and sharing.

Would you like to speak at Scala eXchange? We want to hear your talk proposals! Submissions can be on anything related to Scala. Following the suggestions we've received through the Call for Thoughts and your feedback, we would like to actively encourage submissions on the following topics:

- Asynchronous and reactive programming
- Dotty/Scala 3: new features, experiments, practical experience
- Fast/big data and machine learning
- Functional programming: tricks, types, and techniques
- Other programming languages of interest
- Putting apps into production: deployment, orchestration, and monitoring
- Scala tooling
- Sharing Scala with friends: teaching, learning, and community
- Systems architecture and design patterns
- Testing and QA
- Type Driven Development
- War/glory stores: wins, losses, and lessons learnt
- Your awesome projects (technical and non-technical)

And everything else Scala-related!

Submissions should be for one of the following session types (time for Q&A is *included* in the session lengths):

- 45 minute talk
- 10 minute lightning talk
- 90min/2h workshop *

*Workshops proposals/ideas are welcome and do note that should they be selected, they will be scheduled during our annual awesome #ScalaX2gether on Saturday 14th December 2019.

Talks will be selected by Skills Matter and the Programme Committee on the basis of making the conference a varied and valuable event. Submission is open to anyone, and we encourage first-time speakers to submit a proposal. Members of the Programme Committee are happy to offer coaching and assistance on talk proposals.

All selected speakers will receive a complimentary ticket to the conference.
