The project The short course “Views and Values of Nature” is a new and useful Environmental educational program that combines learning and practicing of Environmental knowledge, created and implemented by SOLEN Environmental Solutions Joint Stock Company.
The program was implemented for the first time in September 2023, with certain successful results. In the following years, the Program will continue to be implemented as an annual project bringing economic, social values and actively contribute to improving environmental understanding for the community, as well as contribute to specific actions to protect the Environment and the Ecosystem in Vietnam.
Information about the 2024 Program:
1. The Environmental Lecture - Views & Values of Nature
Alongside knowledge from natural sciences, sociocultural and ethical analysis is essential to understand the relationships between the environment and society. This lecture aims at learning the fundamentals of sustainability from an interdisciplinary perspective.
Lecturer: SOLEN's local and international experts.
Format: Online via Microsoft Teams - Offline at SOLEN office, 136 Hang Bac, Hoan Kiem, Hanoi, Vietnam
Languages: English - Vietnamese
2. The Eco-tour
The Eco-tour are carried out as a practice activity after finishing the Environmental lecture, participants will experience a trip combining sightseeing and environment protection practicing in conservation areas in Vietnam including National Parks, Biosphere Reserves, etc.
Main activities of the tour:
(1) Sight-seeing;
(2) Tree planting; (3) Litter clean-up.
3. Schedule
Duration: August 2024
The Lecture: 1-2 hours/session over a maximum of 3 consecutive days (weekdays);
The Eco-tour: 2 days 1 night (weekend).
4. Participating fee
The Environmental Lecture: Free of charges
The Eco - tour: Range from 1,100,000 - 2,500,000 VND depending on the number of paticipants and the Eco-tour location.
(We are pleased to receive suggestions for the location and timing of the Eco-tour during this Early Registration period)
NOTE:
Participants can register for any session of the Lecture depending on their personal schedule.
The program has no age restrictions. However, if you are under 10 years old, we encourage you to be accompanied by a guardian or have them discuss with us before registering.
Certificates will be provided by SOLEN & the Lecturer at the end of the program. You can receive certificates for (1) Attending the Environmental Lecture; (2) Participating in the Eco-tour; or (3) Both activities.
