What role would you be interested in during our 2020 virtual camp session?
Our goal is to keep the campers in “cabins or tribes” with small groups. The cabin counselors will attend the sessions with the campers. The sessions will be run by program volunteers. Please note only returning counselors will be accepted as cabin counselors. However, new volunteers can fill many other roles.
Cabin Counselor (attend virtual groups with a certain group of kids)
Program Volunteer (facilitate a specific group for a few different cabins)
Both a Cabin Counselor and Program Volunteer
Health Center Volunteer
I can't attend camp but may want to help with planning or have connections who can help.
I am not interested in attending a virtual camp session.
I am not able to attend this year's camp session.
What weeks are you available to help with camp in whatever role you are interested in?
The week of August 3rd, 2020.
The week of August 10th, 2020.
The week of August 17th, 2020.
Helping prepare for the virtual sessions leading up to camp weeks as needed (timing flexible)
I am interested in being hired as a "Camp Assistant" for the summer to help with organizing supplies and planning programming. I am able to work from both home and the Kennett Square office location.
What age group are you interested in working with as a cabin counselor? (check the last box if you are not interested in being a cabin counselor)
We do not know the exact age cut-offs for each group yet because these will be based on number of camper applications in each age range and what volunteers are interested in. However, there will be 3 groups over a 3 week time period (which group will be which week will also be based on availability). Please also note that the younger programs will have shorter days (about 2 hours), while the teens and LITs may have up to 4 hours each day of their week.
Middle age group (boys)
Middle age group (girls)
Oldest Boys (Teens/LITs)
Oldest Girls (Teens/LITs)
Not interested in this role
Do you have a special talent or interest in running a specific program for cabins of campers (that can be done through an online platform)?
I am interested in facilitating a therapeutic program (yoga, mindfulness, meditation, groups with therapists, etc.)
I am interested in facilitating an educational group (HIV/AIDS, cooking, life skills, theatre, story time, writing or poetry workshop, etc.)
I am interested in facilitating a fun/recreational group (bingo, jackbox, movies, arts and crafts, dance/zumba, talent show)
I am not interested in being a program volunteer.
Are you interested and able to help with any of our additional volunteer needs?
Help in the office with making Camper & Family Packs – these will include backpacks, camp week arts/craft supplies, camp shirts, BOMBAS socks, water bottles, blankets, toiletries, snacks, headphones if needed and special gifts.
Help with delivering Camper & Family Packs
Assistance with the Shed at Camp Saginaw – finding items to ship out, etc.
Technical HELP – IF YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH ZOOM, OTHER ONLINE PLATFORMS, TECH SUPPORT AND GUIDANCE WE NEED YOU!!!
Reaching out to celebrity connections to request special video shoutouts to our campers to say they are thinking of them.
Seeking donations of headphones, devices, and hotspots for our campers to help with camp session access and connectivity.
None of the above.
What else do we need to know?
Tell us anything else we need to know about your availability. Tell us more about what group you might be interested in facilitating? Tell us any additional ideas you have about how to make our first virtual camp week as enjoyable as possible.
