Come join us for Music Lab 2025/2026! This form is exclusively for 6th-12th grade students who wish to attend Open Lab and participate in classes, workshops, and camps that will help them develop their skills and creativity.

This form is quick and easy to fill out to ensure that you are registered for the upcoming semester, (Sept. 8th 2025-June 4th 2026)

Open Lab: 4:00pm-7:00pm Monday and Thursday

With enrollment, students are able to participate in Open Lab. During Open Lab hours students have the option to participate in different creative tracks. Students are allowed to move up or down between the different tracks at any point during the Music Lab year.

Scratch- The Scratch track is the basic level for students. Time on the Scratch Track can be spent trying new instruments, writing new songs, experimenting on recording software, or just decompressing from school. There are no deadlines and you're able to work independently or in a group on anything creative.

Mix- The Mix Track is for students looking to start a basic project. Whether it's writing a song, learning how to record that song, or learning the basics of an instrument. For students who are looking to work on a specific skill, this track is for you.

Master- The master track is for Students who want to dive into a bigger project. This could be booking and then preparing for a Live Performance, Writing and Recording an Album, or recording another group as the tracking engineer. Students will sit down with the instructor, make a concise timeline for the project, and then work independently with instructor supervision.

Along with our weekly Open Lab program, students enrolled in Music Lab are also able to participate in Camps, Masterclasses, and Soundcheck Q&As for no additional charge.

One of our missions is to ensure that The Music Lab is accessible to all students, regardless of their financial situation. We have set our tuition rates to be affordable for many, but we understand that everyone's situation is different.

For students in grades 6-12, an annual membership fee of $300 allows access to the Music Lab program at Jefferson Center. Students can learn music production, songwriting and recording techniques, performance skills, music business and music marketing . If this tuition is not affordable for you, please email jmarion@jeffcenter.org for information on scholarship opportunities. Our priority is to ensure that all students have access to the resources at Jefferson Center.
