InTheSaltSpace: Coastal Arts & Climate Days for Local Women
Dates and Locations: (full detailed venue information & directions will be sent out within a fews days of booking. Participants are invited to chose one of the three sessions)

Crackington Haven: Friday 4th October 10am - 2pm
Crooklets: Friday 11th October, 10am - 2pm
Sandymouth: Friday 18 October, 10am - 2pm

InTheSaltSpace invites and connects women of all ages and abilities through arts activities, climate discussions and the sharing of coastal time and space.

Women who live locally to Bude are invited to gather by the sea for one of this series of very local, small-group, experiential gatherings, which aim to share ideas & skills, begin conversations around climate change and hopefully open up new ways of being, noticing and expressing ourselves at the shore - away from our usual spaces and the traditional expectations & roles we often take on in those spaces.

This is a pilot for a wider project conceived & led by arts practitioner Laura Frances Martin in collaboration with Bude Climate Partnership, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund with support form the National Trust. The sessions are open to any women interested in coastal creativity, climate learning and connectedness: an arts practice is not expected or necessary to attend, but if you do have a practice, we would love to know more. We will be leading participants through some very gentle art prompts, questions and activities, as well as sharing climate facts, prompts and information.

Please note: The main elements of this activity will take place outdoors. Participants need to be prepared for varied weather conditions and rough terrain. For those with limited mobility, we recommend the Bude session on Oct 11th. We recommend warm, layered and waterproof clothing & headwear. The sessions will go ahead in all but the very worst of weather. Please also bring a packed lunch and drinks.

FREE but with limited places bookable on a first come, first served basis

Who Can Attend? Anyone aged 18+ who identifies as female and lives in the Bude Climate Partnership project area can attend:
