2024 - 4th of July Parade Entry Application
The Village of Antioch would like to thank you for your interest in participating in this year’s 4th of July Parade.
Date: Thursday , July 4, 2024
Start Time: 10:30 AM

Route: Normally, the parade travels from Antioch Community High School to Poplar Avenue by using Route 83 (Main Street), however this year some modifications may be necessary due to ACHS construction. 
Due to construction, we are limited to only ONE (1) vehicle per Entry 
Theme:  Faithful and True to the Red, White and Blue
 * ACCEPTED ENTRIES WILL RECEIVE A CONFIRMATION WITH DETAILED INFORMATION AT A FUTURE DATE*  

Application must be received no later than 5 PM on June 27th, 2024. Completing the information requested helps with the lineup distribution.

PARADE RULES AND GUIDELINES

1.     All entries MUST be decorated, either in keeping with the parade theme or in patriotic colors. (Only Emergency vehicles are excluded)

 2.     Each entry is limited to ONE (1) vehicle

 3.     The distribution of novelty items, candy, etc., along the parade route must adhere to the following guidelines:

    Items like candy CANNOT be thrown from vehicle to the crowd. Items must be handed out to parade attendees.

 4.     For safety reasons, the use of rollerblades, skateboards and scooters is prohibited in the parade.

 5.     All animals must be closely leashed. You must have staff to pick up after the animals. 

6.     The use of water guns or sprayers is not permitted during the parade.

 7.     Units featuring elected officials and/or political candidates will only be allowed in the parade if the official candidate appears in person.

 8.     The selling of any items by parade participants along the parade route is prohibited.

 9.     Commercial/for profit entries will be required to pay $30.00 float fee.

 10.  If the number of entries exceeds the maximum, a lottery draw will be held. Antioch based organizations and business have priority.

11. All entries MUST comply with sound, noise, alarms and excessive revving on  designated QUIET ZONE

 

The 4th of July organizing members reserve the right to disqualify and remove any entry before the parade, at parade lineup, or during the parade due to noncompliance of these rules. Anyone behaving inappropriately will be removed immediately from the parade. This includes entries, participants, drivers, or anyone connected with your entry. No entry fee will be refunded.

I/we assume all risk of bodily injury or property damage that I/we may incur in participating in the Village of Antioch 4th of July Parade. I/we hereby, for myself, my child, my heirs, executors, and administrators do hereby, expressly, and forever, waive and release any and all claims against and agree to hold harmless the Village of Antioch officers, employees, agents, representatives, successors, or assigns of any kind from all claims which may be made for any cause whatsoever, arising as a result of or in connection with the participation of me, my support staff or animals in the herein mentioned event. I/we agree to the 4th of July Parade Policies.
