PARADE RULES AND GUIDELINES
1.
All entries MUST be decorated, either in keeping with the parade theme or in
patriotic colors. (Only Emergency vehicles
are excluded)
2.
Each entry is limited to ONE (1) vehicle
3.
The distribution of novelty items, candy, etc.,
along the parade route must adhere to the following guidelines:
Items like
candy CANNOT be
thrown from vehicle to the crowd. Items must be handed out to parade attendees.
4.
For safety reasons, the use of rollerblades,
skateboards and scooters is prohibited in the parade.
5.
All animals must be closely leashed. You must have staff to pick up after the animals.
6.
The use of water guns or sprayers is not permitted
during the parade.
7.
Units featuring elected officials and/or political
candidates will only be allowed in the parade if the official candidate appears
in person.
8.
The selling of any items by parade participants
along the parade route is prohibited.
9.
Commercial/for profit entries will be required to
pay $30.00 float fee.
10. If
the number of entries exceeds the maximum, a lottery draw will be held. Antioch
based organizations and business have priority.
11. All entries MUST comply with sound, noise, alarms and excessive revving on designated QUIET ZONE
The 4th of July organizing members reserve the right
to disqualify and remove any entry before the parade, at parade lineup, or
during the parade due to noncompliance of these rules. Anyone behaving
inappropriately will be removed immediately from the parade. This includes
entries, participants, drivers, or anyone connected with your entry. No entry
fee will be refunded.
