We understand how hard it can be at times to part with your beloved pet; and similarly how circumstances can change within your personal situation.

Please be aware, before submitting this relinquish form, given the amount of dogs that are currently being asked to be taken in by rescue; we cannot guarantee that we will be able to take your dog in. We do operate a waiting list but depending on your dogs specific requirements size and behaviour will affect how long any possible wait time may be. If your dog has come from a breeder we suggest talking with them 1st and the same with a rescue dog, please contact the rescue you got the dog from. WE WILL NOT TAKE IN ANY DOG WITH AGGRESSION ISSUES OR A DOG FROM ANOTHER RESCUE. PLEASE CONTACT THE RESCUE YOU GOT THE DOG FROM. 

Relinquishing your dog is permanent, we do not take dogs in on a temporary basis nor provide boarding.  The dogs relinquished in to our care will legally become the responsibility/property of Skylor’s AnimalRescue and we alone will be responsible for re-homing the dog to a suitable approved home. The dog will not be returned to you so please think long and hard before proceeding. We do not keep in touch with you either after relinquishing the dog and we do not give anyone’s details out for updates. Once relinquished to us you will not be contacted again. 

​We would advise that you do not post your dog on Gumtree, or similar selling sites; especially free to a good home. Whilst this may attract a home it also leaves your beloved pet open to dog baiters and dog pedlars, or unforgiving back yard breeders who search these sites for cheap dogs. Please remember somebody is going to appear genuine when trying to purchase your dog and once handed over you are powerless.
