Become a Community Care Volunteer
Voluntary Action Leeds (VAL) is a registered charity working all year round to support a thriving voluntary, community and social enterprise sector in Leeds. During the COVID-19 outbreak, we are supporting Leeds City Council to help ensure systems are in place to care for people and communities.
As the virus peaks over the coming weeks, support will be needed to fill likely gaps in social care for children, families and vulnerable adults in receipt of care packages.
The response from Leeds residents to support others in their community has been outstanding so far, but a coordinated effort is important to ensure the most vulnerable people get help. If you're healthy and at low-risk (see NHS guidelines here:
), you can sign up here to become a Community Care Volunteer and help others in Leeds.
The purpose of this form is to collect your contact details so we can match volunteers with service gaps and people in need and engage your support as a volunteer. We ask for your email address, phone number, name and postcode, along with some details about the support you would like to offer. We will store this information specifically for the volunteer response for COVID-19, in line with the Voluntary Action Leeds GDPR policy.
Thank you for your help.
