The ultimate paraphrase

I will provide each team with a sentence. Your team will get five minutes to write as many different paraphrases of the sentence as you can. We will do this for two sentences.

Members who actively participate in the construction of the paraphrase will get +5 points. Each correct paraphrase will be +1 point. The members of the team that compose what I judge as the "ultimate" paraphrase for that sentence will get +5 points.

You may want to have a thesaurus open for this activity.

RULES:

Each paraphrase must be accurate i.e. same tenses and meaning.
Original: This shirt is too big for her. -> She was too big for the shirt. Not a good paraphrase, as both the meaning and verb tense have changed in the example.

Each paraphrase has to have more than one change.
Original: This shirt is too big for her. -> This shirt is too large for her -> This blouse is too big for her. -> This shirt is excessively big for her. None of these are good paraphrases as they only make one change.
