Description:
Hacktoberfest is a month-long global hackathon where you contribute to Open Source projects. Hacktoberfest is open to everyone in the global community. If you are a developer, a student who is new to programming, an event host or a company of any size, you can help drive the growth of Open Source and make positive contributions to this growing community. All backgrounds and skill levels are encouraged to complete the challenge.

A workshop session will be conducted on how to make pull requests (PRs) for new coders. Stickers and other goodies are available for everyone who attends the event. Snacks would be provided!

Event Schedule:
1. Intro to Open Source 2:00 - 02:40 PM
2. Workshop + Hack Time 2:40 - 07:10 PM
3. Snack + Discussions 4:45 - 05:00 PM
4. Wrap up 7:15 - 07:30 PM

Participation Rules:
To qualify for the official limited edition Hacktoberfest shirt, you must register and then make four PRs by the end October 31. PRs can be made to any public repo on GitHub, not only the ones with issues labeled Hacktoberfest. If a maintainer reports your pull request as invalid or behavior not in line with the project’s code of conduct, you will be ineligible to participate. This year, the first 50,000 participants who successfully complete the challenge will earn a T-shirt.
