ALS BLS Group of Indian Academy of Pediatrics in association with the Department of Pediatrics, All India Institute of Medical Sciences Patna has produced IAP eBLS Foundation Course to train health care workers including doctors, nurses, MBBS & Nursing students and paramedics for this life-saving skill. Most of the witnessed cardiac arrests happen at home. After going through this course on cardiopulmonary resuscitation and choking, you become a potential rescuer to save a sudden cardiac arrest and a choking victim who may otherwise die. Welcome to your first step towards saving a life!
This is your entry-level course in the field of resuscitation and is targeted at all healthcare workers. The course immediately serves the need for MBBS students for BLS foundation learning, mandated by the National Medical Commission.
This is equally useful for non-medical persons (the general public) to enable them with the knowledge and skill to initiate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in case of out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. This is a digital version and you can complete this at your place and pace. You will receive an online certificate of completion for the eBLS Foundation Course if you successfully complete the post-test.
21st July is celebrated as National CPR Day by the Indian Academy of Pediatrics to increase mass awareness about CPR. The first section of this module is for mass awareness purposes for all citizens and everybody is advised to go through this and ensure their family members and colleagues also learn this skill to apply in time of emergency.
Trainees and health care workers who need certification should complete all the modules.
