Summer Online ASL Class Registration (Parents/Families)
The ASL Services Department is offering a free online American Sign Language (ASL) instruction program during the summer for all LSD and PPEP families. (By providing your email, you will receive a confirmation email for your registration). If you have any questions, please contact ASL Services Coordinator at or call at 225-341-6528.

- Available for family members to learn American Sign Language to communicate with their deaf child (birth to 21)
- Must have a high speed internet, computer, and webcam
- Classes are first come first serve
- Each session is 30 minutes each week per family
- After receiving your registration request, someone will contact you
- Be prepared for each class by turning video 5 minutes before class time
- Communicate with the instructor regarding class cancelations
- Failure to inform the instructor of class cancelation will result in placement on the waiting list
- Contact the coordinator at for an ASL screening to get the appropriate level placement
- We will try to match you with the instructor’s availability for your preferred weekday and time you indicate on the form
