Adoption Application
Thank you for coming to Cavy Love to find your new pet! Also, thank you for considering adoption instead of buying. Many guinea pigs lose their home every year for many different reasons. It is estimated that a guinea pig will have 3 different homes during its' life. Some of the top reasons a person gives up their guinea pig(s) are: kids grow bored and parents are too busy to honor their commitment to a family pet, allergies, and time. We strive to stop this cycle of abandonment and to ensure the best possible placement for the animals entrusted to our organization for placement. We have strict requirements, and not all applicants will be approved for adoption. We sincerely thank you for your understanding, and we appreciate your time in completing the application.

What sex is your piggy? Please note that guinea pigs are RARELY altered. If a pet store told you they were altered, they lied!
What is the age of your piggy? For best chances of a life long bond, a pig close in age is usually the best choice.
Guinea pigs have a strong social structure and both males and females of all ages may fight for dominance. For this reason, you MUST bring your guinea pig to a supervised play date to ensure they will cohabitate peacefully.

Dogs kill guinea pigs. We hear about it everyday. It has nothing to do with how sweet your dog is, it has ONLY to do with his prey drive. Does your family have a dog? If so, what is the age and breed? "MIXED" is not an acceptable answer. Indicate the breed mix here. *
