Queer Scouts Boston Sign-Up Sheet
Hi! We are Queer Scouts Boston and we'd love for you to join us. Queer Scouts is all about queer and trans adults sharing skills and building community. Queer Scouts Boston hosts monthly fun and inclusive peer-led skill shares, events and outdoor adventures in the greater Boston area for queer/trans adults (and allies) to build community and gain skills with a commitment to maintaining an accessible, sober space that is conscious of diversity, race and social economics. Skill-share topics run the gamut from baking to bike maintenance and everything in between, including traditional scouting skills. We also organize other events, like hang-outs, camping trips, and volunteering in the community. Queer Scouts has troops in the San Francisco Bay Area and Seattle and we are excited to be the first East Coast troop. Join us!
Queer Scouts Mission Statement: Queer Scouts is committed to fostering inclusive, diverse, and fun monthly get-togethers for adults by challenging societal norms, empowering authentic self-expression, and building a thriving community through skill shares, outdoor activities, dialogue, shared meals, and cooperative play. As queer/trans folks who missed out on Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts as kids, this is an opportunity to gain skills, move our bodies, volunteer for our communities, and enjoy the outdoors. Queer Scouts is a sober space and, through our tenant of radical inclusion, all of our events are free or sliding-scale / pay what you can.
ps- Please note that during the pandemic our skill shares will be done remotely or at outdoor locations where social distancing can be done safely.
