Pollyanna Position Paper IV - DEI Directors
Last summer, we asked DEI Directors in the Pollyanna Network to respond to the following question: If you could offer your Head of School one piece of DEI-focused advice or an effective community-building practice for them to implement or thoughtfully consider when planning and making decisions, what would it be?
The responses led to our first Pollyanna Position Paper. Half a year later, as we continue to live through a pandemic of racial inequity and injustice, the worsening COVID-19 pandemic, and a tenuous transition of power in government, we wish to check in with the diversity practitioners doing the work "on the ground" in schools and organizations.
We want to help keep DEI work front and center at your school. Please participate in this survey and RESPOND BY JANUARY 15. Thank you for your thoughtful response to the question below!
Since the start of the 2020-2021 school year, how has your school been successful in addressing racial inequity and injustice, and creating an antiracist school? Conversely, what challenges do you hope your school will address in these efforts in the second half of the school year?
