Year 3 Excursion - Commemorations and Remembrance
Dear Parent/Guardian,

As part of the Stage 2, History program, we have arranged for the students of Year 3 to attend an excursion to the Western Sydney Parklands. From ANZAC Day & Remembrance Day, to Christmas & Chinese New Year and many more, students will be given the opportunity to learn how and why people choose to remember significant events. Over a full day of fun activities students will identify global celebrations and commemorations and describe the origins of these celebrations.

The excursion is designed to meet the NSW Syllabus outcomes and will be conducted by Ranger Jamie. Ranger Jamie is passionate about creating a new kind of educational experience for students. A former National Parks Ranger, he holds a degree in Environmental Science and Marine Biology.
