Your Availability

Please type our rehearsal day to acknowledge that you can commit to weekly rehearsals if you join Cuore. *

Cuore rehearse from 7:30pm to 9:40pm every Thursday evening during term time. Singers must attend weekly so that we can rehearse as a team. We also have weekend rehearsals once or twice a term. This year we are rehearsing through the summer, to prepare for a competition in September (see below).

We typically audition in Dublin 2 before rehearsals on Thursday evenings. Auditions take about 10 minutes.

We prioritise applications from experienced singers with strong sight-reading (i.e. given only a reference pitch, you can sing your part without hearing it sung or played).

Simple music in common keys (Basic; you can probably play your line on a piano or other instrument, but your sight-singing may be a little rusty)

Tonal music with common rhythms and keys (Intermediate; you have probably had some aural training)

Most tonal and modal music, even with complex rhythms (Advanced; you have probably had significant aural training)

Even atonal music and complex polyrhythms (Very Advanced)
