Concept Note:
The Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Division of the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with the CSIR-Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (CSIR-TKDL) Unit, is organizing an online workshop on Traditional Knowledge - Intellectual Property & People's Rights. This program aims to enhance participants' understanding of traditional knowledge and its vital role in national growth, development, and ethical preservation. Key topics include Patents, Copyrights, Trademarks, Plant Varieties Registration, Geographical Indications, and the rights of traditional knowledge holders, with a focus on strengthening academic and professional capabilities in these areas.
Eligibility:
Open to all members of the IKS Community, UG & PG students, Research Scholars, Faculty Members, and independent researchers interested in the subject.
Language:
Lectures and discussions will be in English, with Hindi used where feasible.
Certificate:
Certificates of merit will be issued only to successful candidates securing 75% marks, jointly by the IKS Division and CSIR-TKDL Unit.
