Volunteer History & References
At Fog City Stomp, we hope to find the best crew members for the job. To us, this means vetting our potential crew members based on their experience and references. Experience volunteering at dance events is NOT required to be a crew member for Fog City Stomp. Everyone will need to provide a reference who we can contact about your reliability.
Have you volunteered at a dance event or venue before?
Experience volunteering at dance events is not required to be a crew member for Fog City Stomp.
If yes, please list up to 3 of the most recent events you've volunteered at.
Your answer
Do you have other experience volunteering or working for organizations?
This could include theater organizations, clubs, non-profits, etc. Again, not required to be a volunteer.
Please briefly describe your role and responsibilities in these positions.
Only 1-2 sentences per role is necessary.
Your answer
Please provide the contact information (phone or email) of a reference I can contact in regards to your potential fit as a crew member for Fog City Stomp.

Scheduling
How many hours would you ideally work during the weekend?
We try to offer up to 6-9 hours per crew member, but exceptions can be made. Please email Suzanne (fogcitystomp+crew@gmail.com) if you need more. Feel free to enter a range or explanation.
Your answer
Do you have a car that you're willing to drive for your work duties?
This may include transporting equipment, giving rides to instructors, or running errands.
If yes, are you available before or after the event to help transport instructors to or from the airport?
Please indicate whether you are available before, after, or both. How many people does your car transport?
Your answer
Are you interested in attending solo jazz classes (any pass type)?
At some venues, crew members can attend solo jazz classes while performing crew member duties. The crew member with that position is expected to monitor all classes at that venue for the day. Those class full day shifts will receive a smaller fixed (not $10 hourly) discount off a pass. **This is a great option for dance pass registrants to still take classes or for Lindy Hop Track registrants to try out the Solo Jazz Track.

Is there anything else you'd like us to consider for your work schedule for the weekend?
Consider the following: Would you prefer or be opposed to completing all of your work in one larger time block? Are you traveling with another crew member & sharing a car/house? Do you prefer not to work past 1am? Is there any time during the weekend you absolutely won't be available? Is there a teacher whose classes you don't want to miss? Are any of your preferences much stronger?
