Ladies Navigate Computer Science
Are you interested in virtual reality, cyber security, game development, or programming? Come learn about Computer Science and all of the opportunities for women in computing at the University of Maryland.

October 6, 2019
Registration: 11:00am - 4:00pm
Cost: Free, but registration is required
Location: University of Maryland, 1115 Computer Science Instructional Center (8169 Paint Branch Drive)

This event is open to all students who identify as females in high school in Fall 2019. Information will be geared towards Juniors and Seniors. 1 Parent/Guardian is welcome to attend, but must register in advance (on the same form) and will attend a different program.

Activities for the day include:
- Admissions Overview
- NCWIT Aspirations in Computing Application Process
- UMD Honor's Programs
- Faculty Presentations
- Real Talk with current students in Computing
- Meet and Greet with Student Groups in Computer Science
- Discussion surrounding the degree transition to a Limited Enrollment Program (LEP)
--- Due to the size of the University of Maryland, certain majors are very popular and therefore require a limit on the number of students they can accommodate. These programs are then designated "Limited Enrollment Programs (LEP)". Students in an LEP major must successfully complete a specific set of courses by the semester in which they earn 45 credits. All students may apply for Limited Enrollment Programs.

Snacks and a light lunch will be provided.
