Mossler Fellowship for the Spread of the Ethical Culture 2017-2018
Adele Mossler, a member of the New York Society for Ethical Culture, established an endowment to create one or more Fellowships annually to members for the spread of the Ethical movement nationally. For the 2017-18 fellowship, the amount available from the endowment is $8,000.

The American Ethical Union’s Board of Directors determines Fellowship awards based the following criteria (in no order of priority):

• Extent of volunteer efforts in the past on behalf of Ethical Culture Society or AEU
• Recommendation by an Ethical Culture Society member

The American Ethical Union Board of Directors will review, deliberate, and select the candidate to receive the Mossler Fellowship. The deliberations of the board are considered personal and confidential. Board members are not allowed to share information about an applicant or the board’s deliberations and decisions.

The Mossler Fellowship will be for a term of one year, with a start date of October 1, 2017 and to be completed on or before September 30, 2018.

The Mossler Fellow is required to furnish the AEU Board of Directors with periodic progress reports, in writing, every three months.
