Vizcaya Village Gingerbread Competition
A tradition brought to America by German immigrants in the 1800s, gingerbread houses have been a part of holiday traditions in the United States for centuries. As Vizcaya celebrates the holiday season during the final month of its centennial year, the museum invites the community to participate in a competition to recreate the historic Vizcaya Village, soon to be opened to the public, in gingerbread. During our Holiday Evening community program on December 13th, the gingerbread Village will be on display in the Garage for all program participants to explore and enjoy!
All FORMS must be submitted by December 7, 2017, to secure participation.
All gingerbread buildings must be delivered to the Vizcaya Garage (3250 S. Miami Avenue, Miami, FL 33129) between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13th. Entries must be taken home at the end of the evening or they will be discarded.
