This Academy Award-winning documentary tells the extraordinary story of the Kindertransport, the rescue mission that saved nearly 10,000 Jewish and other children from the Nazis. The children were taken into foster homes and hostels in England, expecting to be reunited with their parents. Most never saw their families again. Narrated by Dame Judi Dench, the two-hour film offers moving accounts from child survivors, rescuers, parents and foster parents. Producer Deborah Oppenheimer will share her mothre's Kindertransport experience and take questions from the audience following the screening.
