Dean Interest Form
Hi! Thank you for your interest in becoming a dean at Camp Magruder. We appreciate your interest in serving in this capacity. At Camp Magruder, deans are crucial to the wellbeing of our program. Below is a brief description of deans responsibilities at camp.

For adult retreats, deans spearhead the logistics of the pre-camp preparations. Deans oversee the schedule and are the main point of contact that people refer to when they need guidance. At children and youth camps, deans are the leadership of one age group that is present during the week. Deans receive a primarily pre-made schedule from the Program Director, and their primary responsibility is planning the spiritual development activities on the schedule: theme time and vespers. Deans are support figures to the counselors in their age group, and they are the primary leader of the age group they are in charge of. At both age groups, deans help to recruit leadership and counselors (when necessary) but the Program Director and Camp Staff play a big role in that process so that Deans can focus as much of their energy possible to the time they are spending at camp.

Please fill out this form, and our Program Director, Hope, will follow up with you in about 2 weeks. If you have further questions, you may reach her by email at
