Girls Maker Camp Registration (2024)
(Note that we are now full - you can continue filling the survey to be placed on a waitlist)

The University of British Columbia and the Michael Smith Laboratories are pleased to announce our seventh annual Maker Camp. Like previous years, due to funding logistics, this one will be a girls only* camp and will be held during the week of Aug 19th to 22nd, 2024. Like before, it will be hosted at UBC’s Michael Smith Laboratories.

Space is free and available for 16 girls, who are about to enter Grades 7 to 8 in the fall. Program runs daily from 10:00am to 3:00pm, with a 30 minute lunch break in the middle. Transportation to and from UBC, as well as lunch/snacks is not provided. Since this is a free workshop, please ensure that your child can attend the whole camp. For full details, please visit https://www.bioteach.ubc.ca/portfolio/maker-camp/. Note that if your child has attended before, they are not eligible to attend a second time.

Note that permissions will also be required so that we can document and publicize some of the activities, as well as participate in the MakerCamp program.

Please fill out the form below and we will try to get back to you to confirm your placement within a week or so.  If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out and email Dave at db@mail.ubc.ca
