(1) Team must be comprised of 3 members aged 15 or older. There is no upper age limit. Participants under the age of 15 requires parental consent to participate and to travel to Japan with an appointed team chaperone.

(2) A team must consist of ONE Malaysian Citizen or Permanent Resident. The other 2 members may be of other nationality as long as they have valid Malaysian Visa to stay.

(3) Teams may consist of either gender and family members for both MiniSpogomi and the Finals. Substituting members for the team is permitted but must still comply with participating criteria above

(4) Organiser will provide 3 types of plastic bags for the 3 types of rubbish – 2 large, 1 small white bag for easy rubbish differentiation and sorting process.
