2017 Vineyard Team Educational Scholarship
Overview
The Vineyard Team is pleased to announce educational scholarships available to 2017 graduating high school seniors and currently enrolled college students. Students whose parent(s) or guardian(s) are vineyard workers employed or contracted by a member of the Vineyard Team are invited to apply. Scholarships will be awarded based on academic excellence and financial need. Awards will range from $500 - $2,500 per student. The number of scholarships awarded will be based on fund availability.

The Vineyard Team is a 501(c)3 non-profit grower-group dedicated to sustainable winegrowing since 1994. Over 20 years, we have built a network of 300 local farmers, educating and guiding towards sustainable vineyard practices. We strive to protect both natural and human resources, and this scholarship represents or strong commitment to the people part of sustainability.

Instructions
To apply for the Vineyard Team Educational Scholarship, complete this application and submit via mail or email. Your personal statement, a copy of your current high school or college transcript, SAT scores (not required for currently enrolled college students), and letter of recommendation must be attached to the application to be considered. All applications must be received no later than Thursday, April 20, 2017. Review the checklist at the end of the application to ensure you’ve included all required materials.

Applicant's Personal Statement
Email to kyle@vineyardteam.org a short essay introducing yourself and your academic/career goals. Your essay should be approximately 1 page (12pt Times New Roman font, 1.5 spacing). Please discuss why you should be considered for the scholarship. This may include your recent accomplishments and any personal or family circumstances you have as the child of a vineyard worker.
Transcript and SAT/ACT Scores
Please email kyle@vineyardteam.org a copy of your high school or college transcript and a copy of your SAT/ACT results* to this application. You must have at least a 2.0 GPA to be eligible for this scholarship.

Academic Advisor Letter of Recommendation
The school official must email to kyle@vineyardteam.org a letter of recommendation addressing the applicant’s character, educational commitment, achievements, etc. In addition, the school official must sign this section. Letters of recommendation may not be written by the applicant or anyone related to the applicant.
