Please note, that the county contracts with an outside agency to retrieve deceased wildlife. It can take up to 72 hours for removal.
For the removal of small deceased wildlife we encourage members of the community to dispose of the carcasses in a safe manner, by following these instructions.
- To safely handle and dispose of the carcass
- Wear gloves and a facemask as needed
- Use a shovel or another tool to place the animal in a bag
- Place the bag in two other sealable bags
- Place the triple-bagged and sealed carcass into the garbage
Alternatively, deceased animals may be triple-bagged and brought to a Metro Transfer Station for a fee.
