Making a Difference in Your School with Mike McGowan

There are numerous skills that go into being a good leader and mentor. From conflict resolution and problem solving to making good decisions, but it all comes down to just being a good human.

Breakout Session

Taking Care of Others, Taking Care of Ourselves, with Erin Baillargeon

Learn the six ways young people can keep up with self-care and strengthen their ability to lead others. We will participate in activities to practice and improve internal and external awareness.

Student leaders will leave with a more robust leadership toolbox including:

  • Discovering the qualities and characteristics of their own particular personality style
  • Development of conflict resolution and problem solving skills
  • Awareness and understanding around the importance of self care

Who is Michael McGowan?

Michael McGowan, educator, counselor, administrator and trainer, works with helping agencies, companies, schools, parent groups, and students as a trainer, consultant and motivational speaker as President of McGowan and Associates, a training and consultation firm specializing in school, workplace and family issues. He speaks to tens of thousands of people each year and has trained thousands of social service workers, educators, students, coaches and administrators worldwide.

 
*Healthy, Safe, Respectful School Consortium Districts may participate at a reduced rate of $200*/team of up to four students and one adult.

 Limit of 2 teams per district.

Price includes registration, materials, and lunch.  

Registration deadline is March 28, 2024.
Registrations received after March 28, 2024  will incur an additional fee of $25.
