"Renee's Music Studio in Hawaii" is presenting the Universal Music Online Competition.
Our mission is to discover talented musicians and provide chances that can help to launch international careers through Music!
All competition for the judge will be based on video recordings. Each participant must submit only one or two video(s) recordings from any of the following periods: baroque, classical, romantic, or contemporary.
You may submit any video taken within the last year. Generally, the piece played in the submitted video will be performed at the Winners' Concert. However, if you wish to change the program within your category's time limit, you can resubmit a new video of the new piece by July 10th, 2025. If approved, the program change is possible. Recording should be a fair representation of the contestants' abilities, but does not need to be of professional quality.
"Universal Music Competition" is open to all nationalities, ages and amateurs for pianists, string players, vocalists, Wind and brass players including duets and ensemble. "Universal Music Competition" is very unique, and there is an amateur division where not only advanced-level musicians can participate, but also beginners and amateurs. Even if you haven't competed in a competition before, please take this opportunity to give it a try!
Participants are required to submit video recording materials for participation. Recording should be a fair representation of the contestants' abilities, but doesn't need to be of professional quality. If you are in pre-level and submitting two pieces, you may submit either one video which contains two pieces, or you can make two separate videos and submit two video recordings.
ADVANCED Division & AMATEUR Division
All details apply to both advanced and amateur divisions.
AGE CATEGORIES
Age categories are determined by the student's age on April 10th, 2025
Pre-Level : 6 years old and under
Elementary Level : 7 to 10 years old
Intermediate Level : 11 to 14 years old
High School Level : 15 to 18 years old
Young Artist Level : 19 years old and older
AWARDS
1st prize : Scored 90 ~ 100
2nd prize : Scored 80 ~ 89
3rd prize : Scored 70 ~ 79
Honorable Mention :Scored 60 ~ 69
Multiple winners will be selected from each award category
REPERTOIRE REQUIREMENT & TIME LIMIT
Pre-Level : 3 minutes (1 or 2 pieces)
Elementary Level : 4 minutes (1 piece)
Intermediate Level : 5 minutes (1 piece)
High School Level : 6 minutes (1 piece)
Young Artist Level : 7 minutes (1 piece)
One Piece (or two pieces for Pe-Level only) from any musical eras
(Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionistic, or Contemporary)
can be submitted if within time limit. Cuts are allowed to meet the time limit.
Repeats, D.S. and D.C may be omitted.

To apply for the competition, participants must submit:

Competition Application, April 10th, 2025 (11:59pm HST) : $90 (For duet or ensemble applications, please have one representative make the payment.)
Winners' Concert Performer (53 By the Sea) : $200
Includes Concert performance, Luncheon, Professional Photos, Trophy, and Certificate
Concert Ticket and Luncheon for Guest, Families, Friends, and Accompanists : $130 per person
(including Tax and Credit card transaction fees)
GENERAL RULES
* Incomplete applications including failure to pay fees will result in disqualification.
* The application fee is not refundable.
* The judges' decision is final and unappealable. The comments and punctuation of the judge will not be provided.
Invited winners that are not able to attend and perform in the winner Concert will receive the Certificate by Mail.
Results will be posted on our Instagram and homepage on April 17th, 2025.

審査員による審査は、すべてビデオ録画に基づいて行われます。参加者は、以下のいずれかの時代（バロック、古典派、ロマン派、または近現代）の中から、1〜2曲のビデオ録画を提出しなければなりません。提出するビデオは、過去1年間に撮影されたものであれば問題ありません。基本的には、提出されたビデオで演奏された曲を、受賞者コンサートで演奏されます。ただし、カテゴリー内の時間制限内でプログラムを変更したい場合は、2025年7月10日までに新しい曲のビデオを再提出することができます。変更が承認されれば、プログラムの変更が可能です。録音は、参加者の能力を公平に表現したものである必要がありますが、プロフェッショナルな品質である必要はありません。
「ユニバーサル・ミュージック・コンペティション」は、国籍、年齢、レベルを問わず、すべてのピアニスト、弦楽器奏者、声楽家、管楽器および金管楽器奏者に開かれています (連弾やアンサンブルを含む)。「ユニバーサル・ミュージック・コンペティション」は非常にユニークで、アマチュア部門もあり、上級者だけでなく、初心者やアマチュアも参加できます。これまでコンペティションに参加したことがなくても、この機会にぜひチャレンジしてみてください！ 参加者は、参加のためにビデオ録画資料を提出する必要があります。録音は、参加者の能力を公平に表現したものである必要がありますが、プロフェッショナルな品質である必要はありません。もしプレレベルで2曲を提出する場合は、1つのビデオに2曲を収めるか、2つの別々のビデオとして提出することができます。
アドバンスト部門 & アマチュア部門
すべての詳細は、アドバンスト部門とアマチュア部門両方に適用されます。
年齢区分年齢区分は、2025年4月10日時点での参加者の年齢に基づいて決定されます。
- プレレベル: 6歳以下
- 小学生レベル: 7～10歳
- 中学生レベル: 11～14歳
- 高校生レベル: 15～18歳
- ヤングアーティストレベル: 19歳以上
賞- 1位: スコア 90～100
- 2位: スコア 80～89
- 3位: スコア 70～79
- 敢闘賞: スコア 60～69
各賞のカテゴリーから複数の受賞者が選ばれます。

- コンサートチケット＆昼食会（ゲスト、家族、友人、伴奏者）: $130/一名 （すべての価格は税金およびクレジットカード手数料が含まれています。）
一般規則- 申し込みが不完全である場合（料金未払いを含む）は、失格となります。
- 申込料は返金不可です。
- 審査員の決定は最終的であり、異議を申し立てることはできません。審査員のコメントおよび評価は提供されません。
Important Policy:
In order to ensure the smooth progress of the concert and to make it a memorable and successful event for everyone, we sincerely thank you for your cooperation.
Please be mindful not to cause any inconvenience to the venue or to the competition management before, during, or after the concert.
Specifically, please refrain from making loud noises or sounds inside or around the venue (except in designated areas where warming up is permitted),
and kindly follow the instructions given by the venue staff or competition organizers.
Please also avoid any actions that may disrupt the performances.
Failure to comply may result in disqualification from receiving awards and from performing in this concert.
We kindly ask for your careful attention to these matters.

コンサートをスムーズに進行させる為、皆様に思い出深いコンサートを成功させる為に、ご協力をいただきましてありがとうございます。
コンサート中、コンサート前後に会場や事務局に迷惑のかからないよう、会場内、会場付近（指定された音出し可能な場所以外）で大きな声や音を出されましたり、
会場やコンクール事務局の関係者からの指示に従っていただけない場合、演奏の妨げになる様な行為が見られた場合は当コンクールの受賞、
当コンサートの演奏資格が取り下げられる場合もありますので、十分ご注意いただきます様お願い申し上げます。
優秀者でコンサートに出席できない場合、証書は郵送で送付されます。
結果は、2025年4月17日にInstagramおよびホームページで発表されます。
