Catharsis on the Mall 2016 Art Submission
We would love to work with you to bring your public art to the National Mall for Catharsis 2016. Working within the constraints of our permit with the National Parks Service, we will do our best to provide space for all who would bring their art, particularly art that resonates with our theme "The Journey Home" http://catharsisonthemall.com/art-theme/

Please fill out the below questionnaire and we will be in touch soon with next steps. In general we want to get a sense of what you want to do with this questionnaire sooner than later for our planning, so please don't feel obligated to spend many hours figuring out every last detail before you submit this. We can follow up with more details and questions after we hear from you.

Elevator Pitch - Project Name and a 1-3 sentence description of what it is and what it's about.
Your answer
Please provide a detailed description of your project as much as possible.
Physical attributes, anything you want to share about vision or intent, any participatory elements (encouraged!). A link to a document or video of you talking about it is okay too if pictures/sketches/etc are helpful.
Your answer
How does your project relate to the theme of "Our Journey Home"? If it does not, any reasons you feel this piece is especially relevant for Catharsis on the Mall 2016?
Refer to theme text here: http://catharsisonthemall.com/art-theme/ Relevance to theme or this specific event are not strictly required, and we will do our best to provide space for all art submissions from the community regardless of relevance. With that said, we do note that we are tied by restrictions in our permit, and we reserve the right to make decisions about placement and where we are able to contribute scarce support resources based on relevance to our event theme.

Your answer
Is your project dangerous or messy in any way?

Does your project involve anything you think might require discussion or mitigation with National Parks Service given our permit and tight LNT requirements on the National Mall?
Examples might include fire, water, anything messy, staking/digging in the ground, compressed gas or anything under significant pressure or anything else that you think "Huh, I'm not sure so they might want to know about this".
Your answer
Does your project require electricity? If so, do you have an estimate for how much? Is it needed 24/7 or just at night? Do you have a mitigation plan if it is not available?
Your answer
Do you have major concerns or issues to overcome for project setup and teardown/cleanup that we should discuss?
You will have access to the space from Tue - Fri prior to the event for setup, and from Sunday morning - Monday for teardown cleanup. We expect setup/teardown can be done by your team on the National Mall with hands and hand tools unless noted below. We can follow up to get more details on things listed here.
