UGW Bargaining Survey
The labor board ruled on August 17th that graduate workers have the right to collectively bargain. UGW is getting ready for negotiations. Anticipating that we will be at the bargaining table in the next couple of months, we have elected a bargaining committee and are now conducting a broad survey of our membership to identify our priorities for negotiations. Your participation is critical in ensuring we negotiate a contract that improves the lives of graduate workers at UNM!

You will encounter questions asking for some basic information, and questions related to issues (wages, healthcare, etc.). The first 'issues' question will ask you to rank all major issues in terms of how important they are to you. This is followed by a series of questions specific to each particular issue. Question types include multiple choice and the ranking of sub-issues. Some questions may ask for a narrative response. Any comments you are willing to provide will help us make the case to UNM about why these demands are important to graduate workers.

Some questions will not apply to all groups. Responses are not required for all questions. Please consider skipping questions that do not apply to you. Please consider responding thoroughly to the issues most important to you. Although not all of these issues will affect you personally as a graduate worker, all of these items are important and we are committed to advocating for all workers in the bargaining process.

The survey results are managed by fellow UGW members alone, and all information obtained from this survey will be kept confidential, unless you give permission for it to be shared.
