08/20/19 Motivating Students, Facilitator: Heather Fedesco, CFT Assistant Director
Research consistently shows that students who are more motivated in their classes experience greater academic outcomes in their courses (e.g., higher final grades, persistence, perceived learning, etc.). Students enter our classrooms with various levels of motivation, however the pedagogical choices instructors make and the ways in which they interact with their students can have a profound influence on student motivation. In this workshop, participants will learn a variety of simple yet effective strategies they can employ in their classrooms to improve student motivation.
