For many years, the PFA have raised tens of thousands of pounds to provide the children at Gorseland with resources and opportunities that the school budget simply does not stretch to. They have also contributed funding to school projects, such as purchasing iPads, the Jubilee playground, as well as buying countless books for both the library and classrooms.
Unfortunately, as a result of the pandemic, these events and opportunities obviously had to stop. Coupled with children moving on to high school, the membership of the PFA has reduced significantly over the years. In the past, the PFA has run a wide variety of events including Bingo, Summer Fun Days, Christmas Fayres, Stay and Play events, Race Nights, Discos, as well as organising Grand Draws, the children's Christmas cards and other gifts. They have also paid for pantomimes to come into school to entertain the children, as well as a Planetarium to support learning.
We are excited to relaunch the PFA with our new Committee and welcome your ideas and support with planning future events. Please could you complete the following questions ..
