Application to use an Alternative Device
This is the application form for parents wishing to use an alternative device for the Bethany College BYODD Program. All questions must be completed. Please remember that:

* iPads/Smartphones/Tablets/Android devices are NOT considered suitable for learning at Bethany
* You do need to complete this form if your daughter is continuing to use her school issued laptop beyond the 3 year warranty period. The battery may be an issue for those devices.
* You do not need to complete this form if your daughter is in Year 7 or 10 (2017) and purchasing a designated device from the SCS portal.

You may find this information from looking at the technical specifications of the device in the internet. Some devices may be written as a combination, eg. 802.11b/g/n. In this case, please specify the fastest mode it is capable of. The modes from fastest to slowest are ac, n, g, b.
How long does the battery last on a single charge? *
If unsure, fully charge the battery and then operate the laptop from the battery while connected to a wireless network and with the screen on full brightness. Time how long it takes for the battery to drain completely.
What operating system is installed? *
