College HG Interest Survey 2019-2020
We are so excited that you have shown interest in our church's homegroup. Homegroups are places where the rubber meets the road, and life together happens. It is a place for discipleship and mentorship. We are serious about following Jesus and living that out. So it will require a commitment from you AND as we as a church are committed to walking with you so that you flourish and grow holistically with an intergenerational faith family.

We have a total of three college homegroups this Fall. You will be placed into a homegroup, and each homegroup is capped at 15 people. What you can expect from homegroup is a warm, intimate place where you can build not only with your peers but with a gospel-centered family. I will be prayerfully assigning you to a homegroup and below questions will help me to diversify each group holistically! So please honestly answer below questions for your benefit. Grateful for you to be part of our church's family.

There is a limited opening in the homegroups. So please be patient if they are filled up. And remember that there are many other ways to get connected to our church. To name a few: EQUIP Sunday Classes, Wednesday and Saturday Morning Prayer Meetings, if you are a junior or senior the Young Adult Ministry events and gatherings, Outreach events such as Albany Soup Kitchen, and PADS.

Are you extroverted or introverted? *
This is the best way define who you are: Introverts (or those of us with introverted tendencies) tend to recharge by spending time alone. They lose energy from being around people for long periods of time, particularly large crowds. Extroverts, on the other hand, gain energy from other people. Extroverts actually find their energy is sapped when they spend too much time alone. They recharge by being social.

Are you able to commit each week? *
Because of the nature of homegroup being high intimacy and a safe environment, it thrives and flourishes with consistency and high commitment. We understand that there will be unforeseen, unexpected events like death in the family, sickness, weddings, etc. To be frank and honest, I see that other reasons such as commitment to different events and organization are a priority issue. Just like we are committed to a class and we will not schedule something over that, same expectation is here. Again, we expect this from you because we believe that this is truly a life together and as brothers and sisters in Christ, we are called to a covenantal community. When you are missing, it affects both you and the group. Thus, set aside Sunday evening 6-8pm to be part of an intimate homegroup if you say "Yes, I'll be there!" More concretely, 3 out of 4 per month is acceptable.
Do you have any food allergy or diet restriction that we should know about?
Food is a valuable part of our homegroups. Not only they are delicious home cooked meals every Sunday evening but critical component of fellowship of breaking bread together. So we want to make sure you are able to part take without any hindrance! Please let us know!!
