EVENT PARTICIPANTS WAIVER FORM - RELEASE AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT: I the undersigned participant OR guardian of participant, desiring to participate in the 2025 UAS Traditional Games Season Kick-Off (also referred to as Native Youth Olympics or NYO) being hosted by University of Alaska Southeast, Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska and
Lynn Canal Adventures, including its members and affiliated groups, and recognizing that such participation involves the risk of serious physical injury, perhaps even leading to death to self or others, and also involving the risk of damage to property or self as well as that of others, and further recognizing that the University of Alaska Southeast and Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska is not responsible for such injuries or damages, hereby agrees to fully and completely release and waive the University of Alaska Southeast and Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, all of its members and affiliated groups, from all claims, rights, or causes of action of any nature which might acquire by virtue of injury to self or others or damages to property of self or others arising out of participation in said Traditional Games; and further hereby agrees to defend, indemnify and hold the University of Alaska Southeast and Central Council Tlingit & Haida Indian Tribes of Alaska, all of its members and affiliated groups, harmless from all liability, claims, damages and costs arising in any way out of participation in said Traditional Games.
