10 years into Women, Business and the Law, the donor and development communities are familiar with the numerous challenges in leveling the economic playing field for women entrepreneurs. However, what are the practical conversations going on with host governments? What are some innovative approaches to addressing critical enabling environment factors, like women’s property rights? What are lessons learned from practitioners on the ground? How do governments and communities respond to efforts for systemic change?
Join us to hear about the World Bank's Women, Business and the Law 2020 report and learn how laws impact women’s economic opportunities and what countries are doing to reform, as well as USAID's innovative approaches to strengthen women’s property rights in Tanzania and elsewhere. Following brief presentations by the speakers, there will be a moderated session of Q&A.
Speakers: Ioana Bouvier (USAID) and Tea Trumbic (World Bank)
