Greeters Responsibilities
We try to only schedule people once or twice a month. (If we have enough Greeters)
We try to schedule 2-3 people each week so it is never all on one person.
One at Sutton door, One at Southeast door
- Greet with smile, words of welcome
- Distribute bulletin to each person or group
- During worship, watch for newcomers looking for bathroom
- During worship, come forward when invited to receive the offering (Ushers)
- Watch for hesitancy, expressions of confusion, simple “Hi. Can I help you?”
- Be ready to direct people to bathrooms, nursery, sanctuary, etc.
- Name tags = tags and markers available at each door if newcomer desires
