Logistics Board Member: The Logistics Board Member is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all operational aspects of the Heartland Pride Festival. This role includes coordinating with vendors, securing event permits, developing festival layouts, and ensuring compliance with safety and accessibility standards. The Logistics Board Member works closely with other board members and committees to align logistics with event goals, timelines, and budgets. Responsibilities also include managing festival-day operations, overseeing volunteers, and troubleshooting on-site issues to ensure the event runs smoothly. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills are essential, as well as a dedication to creating a welcoming and inclusive experience for the LGBTQ+ community. This position is vital in ensuring the seamless execution of the Heartland Pride Festival.

Community Outreach Board Member: The Outreach Board Member is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with community organizations, businesses, and local leaders to expand Heartland Pride’s visibility and impact. This role involves coordinating outreach campaigns, representing the organization at events, recruiting participants for the parade and festival. Working closely with the board, the Outreach Board Member ensures that engagement efforts align with Heartland Pride’s mission and values. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential, along with a passion for equity and LGBTQ+ community empowerment.

Volunteer Coordinator: The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, scheduling, and supporting volunteers for our year-round programs and signature events, including the annual Pride Festival and Parade. This role is essential in creating a welcoming and organized experience for volunteers, ensuring they feel valued and empowered to contribute to our mission.

Entertainment Chair: The Entertainment Chair works closely with the Entertainment Board Member to help plan, coordinate, and manage live performances and entertainment for the annual Pride Festival, Show, and other community events. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for live music, drag, dance, stand up comedy, and other performance arts, as well as strong organizational skills to ensure a seamless entertainment experience.
